I don’t know how many thousands of hours we have spent shut away in our homes during the pandemic, how many hours we have spent watching the mould grow on our abandoned bikes, our hair growing wildly, those unchangeable backdrops of the perfect corner of our living rooms, those minds creating, creating, creating… Because we at Mediacrest have filled all those hours with two things: creativity and a growing openness to the world. That is what you get if you have the best there is for each area; far from grinding to a halt, the pandemic has seen us progress with greater strides than ever. 

In the wake of our home confinement, Mediacrest emerges with 14 fiction projects, 11 documentaries and 14 different entertainment formats underway. But this isn’t about producing in large quantities, but rather creating with quality, imagination, emotion, intelligence, a vision of the future, knowledge of our environment and the experience of a well-oiled team. And we are keenly aware that what we call the audiovisual market comprises people who, from their homes, with their mobiles, their tablets have sought out excitement, dreams and fun, bringing about a revolution in the audiovisual world and setting the course to follow. 

With this spirit of overcoming adversity, we have risen to the challenge of confinement and are looking to the present and the future. We have begun filming for the second season of The Chase, an extraordinary game show with an extraordinary host; we will soon begin shooting a unique documentary on Artificial Intelligence; and the adaptation of Carmen Laforet’s “Nada”, is already a highly promising project… But we can’t let on about the most interesting development of all, although we can reveal that soon Mediacrest will attract a great deal of attention, in fiction, documentaries and entertainment. Because during this time, as well as the many wonderful creations, we have made a lot of friends. Whatever the screen, we’ll see you on the other side.
