‘El cazador’ brings winds of change to afternoons on La 1. The game show presented by Rodrigo Vázquez is making a complete turnaround and will soon premiere with the new formats of ‘El cazador anónimos’ and ‘El cazador STARS’, a celebrity version for charity.

In the new celebrity version, four famous contestants will play as a team, answering questions on cultural topics to try to win cash prizes, which they will then donate to the charity of their choice. One of the program's five chasers, Erundino Alonso, Lilit Manukyan, Paz Herrera, Ruth de Andrés and Orestes Barbero, the country's top quiz experts, will try to stop them. The famous participants in this new version will be film, television, music, culture, and sports personalities.
In ‘El cazador anónimos’, four contestants will play as a team, answering questions on cultural topics to try to win cash prizes, as one of the chasers tries to stop them. One of the innovations to the new format is that contestants will now accumulate 200 € for every correct answer in Round 1.
The format of the chasers' offers in Round 2 is also changing. They will now always offer half the amount they earned in Round 1, one square below with a greater advantage; the earned amount multiplied by two, one square above, closer to the chaser and with less of an advantage; and the earned amount multiplied by four, one square above. If they manage to escape from the chaser in Round 2 and get home, they get to keep the money at play in that round. In the STARS version, the money the celebrities win will be donated to the charity of their choice.
In the Final Chase, contestants will play for the program's jackpot, which always starts at €20,000 and increases by €5,000 per program in the anonymous version, and by €3,000 in the celebrity version.
In both versions, the contestant who gets the most correct answers in the Final Hunt round will get the chance to participate again in the next program. If they win the pot, it will be divided equally among the finalists. In the anonymous version, the contestants get to keep the money, while in the STARS version, it will be donated to the charity of their choice.
After four years on the air, ‘El cazador’, produced by RTVE in collaboration with Mediacrest, maintains its consolidated audience and has become one of the classics of afternoons on La 1. The game show ended last March with an average share of 10.3% and nearly one million viewers.
