Isabel Pantoja signs deal with Mediacrest to develop documentary and fiction series

Celebrating 50 years on stage, the artist will be the protagonist of a story that traces her artistic and personal journey.

Yesterday in Madrid, Isabel Pantoja and Mediacrest Entertainment S.L. signed an option and collaboration agreement to develop two series about the artist’s career. This includes firstly a documentary, followed by a fiction series with an initial seven-episode run that spans her childhood to the present day.


Recognized around the world, Isabel Pantoja is one of the most influential artists in Spanish music. She began her career in the 1970s with the release of her first album in 1974. Since then, she has produced thirty albums and sold millions of records, including her smash hit "Marinero de Luces." Isabel is celebrating 50 years on stage and a career full of countless successes.


Mediacrest is a Spanish audiovisual production company based in Barcelona and Madrid, and since its founding in 2018, it has produced three prime time formats for RTVE and Atresmedia, a daily gameshow for RTVE, another for Mediaset, the series "Internal Affairs" with RTVE and co-produced the film "Daniela Forever" by Nacho Vigalondo, in addition to the documentaries "The Sleeper" and "Inside Guggenheim."


As Mediacrest CEO Francisco Pou expressed when reaching the agreement, "working with an artist of Isabel Pantoja's stature and bringing a top-tier production to audiences everywhere to tell the story of one of Spanish music’s most influential figures is both a privilege and an exciting challenge we are thrilled to take on." 


For her part, Isabel Pantoja stated that she is not only enthusiastic about the project but also grateful for the wonderful opportunity to celebrate her over 50-year career.
