Spanish production company Mediacrest and Colombian producer Dynamo will co-produce 'Nautilus,' one of the premier series destined for TelevisaUnivision’s recently launched platform. This news was announced by ViX, the new streaming service created following the merger between Televisa and Univision, leaders in the Latin market.

'Nautilus' tells the story of three strangers, who, desperate to escape their past, embark on a suicide mission: a four-week submarine trip across the Atlantic with a shipment of drugs which also involves a policewoman who is obsessed with hunting them. This is the first co-production between these two production companies. Based on real events, this original idea has been developed by Mediacrest’s fiction team, headed by Alberto Macías with Daniel Domenjó handling executive production. Mediacrest is also bringing Gustavo Ferrada’s trajectory and experience to bear as the company’s Director of Fiction.

The project brings together two major players, writer Clayton Trussell ('Narcos') and director Ariel Vromen ('The Iceman'). Dynamo is responsible for such series as Netflix’s 'Narcos' and 'El Chapo'. Mediacrest has won two awards at Conecta Fiction’s latest edition in 2021 for 'Life' and 'The Beach House', as well as earning RTVE’s Conecta Fiction 2020 award for 'Demokracia'.a
