MEDIACREST kicks off 2020 with “La Solución”, a public service programme produced for Telemadrid in which anonymous members of the public try to find solutions to the problems that most concern the people of Madrid. In this debate show, the real protagonists are ordinary people; there are no journalists, no politicians. The latter can take part with technical contributions or in short interviews, but they are not present in the studio.
The programme is 90 minutes long, with hosts Manu Pérez and Rebeca Marín in charge of setting the pace. They will also encourage viewers to vote for one of the possible solutions through an online survey on the show’s website and on its official Twitter and Instagram accounts. At the end of the programme, once all testimonials and videos have been watched and listened to and the social networks checked, the solution with most votes is revealed.
Telemadrid’s new debate show debuts next Wednesday, 15 January at 22:30. The first programme focuses on solutions for the smog that hovers over the city of Madrid and there will also be debate around the issue of the illegal squatting of properties in the capital.
“La Solución” is directed by Araceli Infante, a journalist with a long and solid professional career: part of the first team of the political talk show “La Mirada Crítica”, and subsequently member of the news team at Mediaset and La Sexta. Jacobo Domínguez, reporter and presenter for “Madrid Directo” and “Con T de Tarde” and assistant director of “España Directo” on TVE, returns to Telemadrid, also as assistant director.
