Mediacrest welcomes Head of Documentaries and strengthens entertainment production department
Israel López and Estíbaliz Salaverri join the production company for the new projects underway.

Mediacrest adds new names to its staff to strengthen the team for the projects being launched in the areas of documentaries and entertainment.
The first is Israel López, who joins as Head of documentaries, to organise and manage both external and internal documentary projects. From this position he will create synergies with the entertainment and fiction departments and will seek the international projection of the production company's documentary productions. With 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, investigation, judicial and police chronicles have been the backbone of his career. As a special correspondent, he has been in Venezuela; in Paris to cover the jihadist attacks against the Bataclan nightclub (2015) and against the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo (2015). In 2017 he travelled to North Korea, the inaccessible and hermetic Asian country, where he made a special for Cuatro and its programme “En el punto de mira” (Unicorn Content).
He has also been the creator of several documentaries, including “Yo fui... un asesino” (Cuarzo Producciones, 2017), a true crime for DMAX focused on the life of the katana killer José Rabadán; and “Yo fui... un narco” (Unicorn Content, 2018), also for DMAX and of which he was the creator and executive producer, which chronicled the life of Laureano Oubiña, the most famous and important drug trafficker in Spain.
Estíbaliz Salaverri joins the production company to strengthen the entertainment team alongside Gonzalo Mañeru and Leticia Alba. She has more than 10 years of experience in the audiovisual industry in fiction production with the series “23-F” or “Fuera de lugar”, by Cuarzo Producciones for RTVE and as controller of the second season of “Cardo” (Suma Content) for Atresmedia; and in entertainment production she has worked in the production company Alma/Banijay for programmes such as “Cuarto Milenio” or “La mesa del coronel” on Cuatro.
