Mediacrest (Spain) and Maria Wood Producciones (Chile) are heading to the Séries Mania festival with a proposal for a groundbreaking science fiction series, “Humanity”, based on a near future of apocalyptic proportions.
Created by Paula Sánchez, Jorge Hernández and Sergio Cámara, from Mediacrest’s Fiction department, led by Alberto Macías, “Humanity” takes place in the year 2050: following the explosion of the Earth, ten astronauts have recently arrived on Mars with an impossible mission: to avoid the extinction of mankind. With its frenetic pace, the series “Humanity” follows a group of humans as they are taken to the brink by faith, power struggles and survival, on the most important mission of their lives.

Mediacrest is also presenting two other projects at Séries Mania: “Life”, in co-production with White Lion Films and Troisième Œil (Mediawan Group), a medical thriller inspired by the real life, record-breaking achievement of 45 transplants performed in less than 24 hours; and “Little Bucharest”, a quirky, teenage vampire horror comedy.
